Frequently Asked Questions
Are you licensed in Ohio?
Yes. Shaun Atkinson is an Ohio-licensed home inspector, license OHI.2019006734.
What standards do you follow?
The Ohio Standards of Practice for home inspectors, OAC 1301:17-1-17.
What exactly is a home inspection?
A visual, non-invasive check of the home's visible, accessible systems and parts, as they are on inspection day. No opening walls. No destructive testing.
Will you find every problem?
No inspector can. Hidden, covered or intermittent problems may not show up in a visual inspection. If something is blocked or can't be reached, the report says so.
Is the inspection a warranty?
No. It's a point-in-time report on visible conditions. It doesn't promise anything about the future.
Does AI inspect the home?
No. Your Ohio-licensed inspector makes every call. It's still a visual inspection, so hidden defects can be missed.
How long does the inspection take?
Time on site depends on size, age and condition.
Are you a franchise?
No. Wright Check Inspections is independent and locally owned.
